Amito lives with her mother and 5 siblings who range in age from 3-12. They live in
Kitgum.
Amito’s mother Catherine sells some food stuffs on market weekends and she is rebuilding a hut on her father-in-laws land. They live in a 1 room and stopped building due to lack of money. Her husband was abducted by rebels in 2000 and she doesn’t know if he is still alive.
Amito was 9 out of a class of 40 last term. She likes English and Science. She wants to be a nurse. Amito likes running games, like Hide n Seek.
Annual sponsorship cost is $120 for primary school fees, uniforms, basic school supplies and supplemental food. The sponsorship amount can be paid annually, or by term at $40 per term. Additional optional amounts up to $300 total may be contributed during the calendar year as a special family gift.
