Omodo Felix lives with his mother, father, 2 siblings and 6 other dependents from relatives who have died. The family lives in
Kitgum.
His mother used to do some selling in the market but lost her shop. She now does beading and makes a sorghum brew but it is not enough to survive on. His mother is HIV infected and is frequently sick and bedridden. His father has no work.
Felix struggles in school and has had to miss some classes. His best subject is social studies. He would like to pursue a career in medicine. In his free time he likes to play soccer. He also helps his mother roll beads, take care of the younger children, and sweep the compound.
Annual sponsorship cost is $120 for primary school fees, uniforms, and basic school supplies. The sponsorship amount can be paid annually, or by term at $40 per term. Additional optional amounts up to $300 total may be contributed during the calendar year as a special family gift.
