Godfrey Lubangakene
Age – 14 Grade – Secondary 2 (Boarding)

Godfrey lives with his mother, 3 other siblings and 3 other dependents in a single rented room in Jinja. His father died shortly after he was born. The children range in age from 13 to 22 years.

His mother earns income by distilling, and by making beads which she began to do in 2008. The family came to Jinja from Kitgum about 20 years ago because of the war and because his father had a job in Jinja. Godfrey is an active boy and helps his mother fetch water and cook when he is at home.

Godfrey likes school and studying very much. Math is his best subject. He also likes to play cricket and soccer. He would like to be a pilot one day.

Her biggest need right now is for school fees so that she can attend classes regularly and hopefully improve her grades. He hopes for someone to sponsor him so that he can continue his secondary education without interruption.

Godfrey urgently needs 2 sponsors who can each pay $325, which is 50% of his total annual sponsorship cost for secondary school fees, uniforms and supplies. The amount may be paid in one lump sum of $325, by term at $108 per term or monthly via credit card at $27 per month. Additional optional amounts up to $300 total may be contributed during the calendar year as a special family gift.
