Jacqueline lives with her parents and seven other siblings ranging in age from 15 to 32. The family was originally from Kitgum but moved to many years ago.
Jacqueline’s mother does beading and digging to earn a small income for the family. Her father does electronic repairs but it is hard to get enough work. Jacqueline helps the family by doing beading, mopping and washing clothes and dishes. She is a talented beader and can make the special beaded bracelets and the bead bags.
Jacqueline likes school and her favorite subjects are English and religious instruction. She is normally in the middle of her class grade-wise. She would like to be a lawyer. Her favorite spare time activity is reading books.
Annual sponsorship cost is $400 for secondary day school fees, uniforms, and basic school supplies. The sponsorship amount can be paid annually, by term at $133 per term, or monthly via credit card at $33 per month. Additional optional amounts up to $300 total may be contributed during the calendar year as a special family gift.
