Okema Joshua
Paul
Age – 7 Grade – Nursery 2 (Day)
|
Okema lives with his mother, father, and 5 siblings. The family lived in an IDP Refugee Camp but recently moved to
Kitgum.
Okema’s mother earns money by collecting firewood and selling it. She also makes beads. Due to the recent drought, she’s had trouble producing and affording food for her family. They are not on the World Food Program. Okema helps his family by sweeping the compound and looking after 10 ducks.
Okema did very well at school last year. He likes to learn rhymes at school, like learning the alphabet. He likes to play soccer with friends. He likes cars, and one day hopes to drive a taxi.
