Paul lives with his mother and one sibling in the Kakira area near Jinja where they are renting one room. His father has recently abandoned the family.
The family moved to Jinja about 5 years ago from Pader district to escape the war. His mother does distilling to earn a small income. She is just learning to do beading.
Paul likes school especially English. He also likes singing.
Paul has a problem seeing out of one eye because it tears excessively, especially at night. His other eye tears too but not as badly.
Annual sponsorship cost is $150 for primary school fees, uniforms, basic school supplies and a small amount of medical expenses. The sponsorship amount can be paid annually, or by term at $50 per term. Additional optional amounts up to $300 total may be contributed during the calendar year as a special family gift.
