Winnie lives with her mother, 4 siblings, and 2 dependents on the outskirts of
Jinja. Her father died of a heart attack. They were originally from the Gulu district but left when the rebels killed her uncle.
Winnie helps her mother by cleaning around the compound and cooking. Winnie’s mother has her own distiller and makes beads.
Winnie’s favorite subjects are English, math, and drama. She wants to be a beautician and designer. Her favorite games are cricket and netball.
The family cannot afford school fees for all of the children.
Annual sponsorship cost is $150 for primary school fees, uniforms, and basic school supplies. The sponsorship amount can be paid annually, or by term at $50 per term. Additional optional amounts up to $300 total may be contributed during the calendar year as a special family gift.
